I am a huge nascar fan who recently retired after 30 years of working for the Univ of MD, Baltimore as a business manager to help out with my grandchildren. We spend a lot of our weekends either in OC MD or in the mountains of PA or at nascar races. Favorite driver, who else, Smoke!

    Hi Pat: Thanks for thinking of me - today I was at the hospital all day - Mondays are my bad days - I have chemo and see both of my doctors - Oncologist and Radiologist and then I get radiation I am now at the bad part of treatment and had a rough weekend. The radiation is making my chest and back hurt and difficult to swallow. Therefore, you definitely don't want to eat so I am getting lectured by doctors to eat or eat high calorie so I don't lose at lot of weight and end up back in the hospital. I have already finished 21 radiation treatments and 4 chemo treatments with 16 more radiation treatments and 2 more chemo treatments. I pray every day to get thru this now that I am having trouble swallowing and eating. Thanks again for thinking of me and pray this all works and I get thru the next three weeks. Carolyn

I had my usual all day treatments = every Monday I have chemo and then radiation = it is long day at hospital so very tired when I get home but they feel I am tolerating it all well but I still have 30 more sessions so we shall see.
